Description

The goal of Regional Youth Leadership is to develop and retain the talent of our youth to this region. Individual objectives from each session support overarching outcomes for participants. Specifically, helping students develop their leadership skills and inspiring them to responsible citizenship; increasing students' awareness of complex issues and challenges in our region and, in-turn, the resources and opportunities available; to aid in the development of social responsibility with opportunities for community service; provide career development information and resources; inspire youth to identify their roles and responsibilities as young leaders; increase students' self-esteem, critical thinking and problem solving abilities; and provide a forum where students feel safe to learn about and discuss important issues.
