The Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation in partnership with Northern Kentucky University, Horizon Community Foundation and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, is launching a development series called the AppointedNKY Civic Leadership Academy. Appointed is a socially innovative, nonpartisan initiative, offered free of charge by the Women’s Fund. The goal of the program is to develop civic leadership talent and prepare and empower individuals to serve on civic boards in the region. The sessions prepare individuals and equip them with important skills they need to get involved in different ways in the community from volunteering at a local organization to getting appointed to a civic board.
